Full Mouth Rehabilitation

What is a full mouth reconstruction?

When you have many broken, worn and/or multiple missing teeth, then a full mouth reconstruction may be required. This will often require every tooth to be restored with a combination of veneers, crowns, inlays, onlays, dental implants and dental bridgework.

Full mouth reconstruction, rehabilitation and restoration are terms often used interchangeably to describe the process of rebuilding or simultaneously restoring all of the teeth in both the upper and lower jaws.

Patients who have suffered trauma or who have extensive decay and infection are often candidates for full mouth reconstruction. Candidates typically have suffered from widespread issues such as:

1. Cavities

2. Damage (chips, cracks, fractures)

3. Gum disease

4. Gum recession

5. Misaligned teeth

6. Missing teeth

7. Jawbone deterioration

8. TMJ disorders

Due to the scope of the procedure, full-mouth reconstruction requires extensive planning and multiple visits to the dentist. Because of the degree of complexity, only qualified and experienced dentists can offer full-mouth reconstruction. Depending on the condition of your mouth we may recommend up to 6-8 implants in Full Mouth Reconstruction procedure.

Before we plan your dental restoration treatment we want to know everything about the health and aesthetics of your smile, and, most importantly, what you want to achieve so that we can help you get the smile that you want.
